The current Hope House Surgery, on The Street, Radstock, could be turned in to eight flats under plans submitted by a Gloucestershire architect.
The plans would see the Grade II listed building
converted in to seven one bed flats and a single two bed if approved. Building work on the new, purpose built premises for Hope House Surgery, on Waterloo Road, is expected to be complete within the next six months.
Developers are arguing that little historic fabric remains of the building, thought to have been on site since 1680 and partly turned into a doctor’s surgery in 1962.
Plans can be viewed and commented on via B&NES Council’s planning portal before 3rd February, reference: 21/05698/FUL A decision is expected by 18th February.
