Stratton on the Fosse Parish Council are objecting for a third time about plans for no less than 270 houses on what is referred to as the ‘White Post site’ in our Parish, and yet outside of the development zone of the village (which is not allowed a development of more than four houses).
It is quite complicated, as the site was thrown out as a designated site in the Mendip Local Plan Part Two under order of a Judicial review in the High Court.
The Judicial Review also threw out the designation of the site at Underhill Lane and the other side of the A367 to the White Post.
On Beauchamp Drive seventy eight houses were lost on appeal, as the inspector said it was next to the White post site.
