The following article is a candidate profile for the Midsomer Norton Town Council (Redfield) candidate, Tim Wells. All views expressed are solely those of the author.
My candidacy comes after living close to our High Street in St Chads Green for three years, co-founding and running a grassroots adult Football Club for ten years, based out of MSN Cricket Club. Before ‘coming home’, Plymouth, Bath, and Bristol were home over 14 years. I attended St Johns Primary and Norton Hill Secondary Schools. Professionally this is my ninth year of working in Affordable Housing with frontline local experience and this last year working in Affordable Housing development for rural areas. My hopes for our town are:
- A Town which inspires an active, safe and welcoming environment, providing convenient services and amenities.
- Completion of a climate conscious Local Plan to strategise how our town develops.
- Supporting voluntary ran community groups, sports clubs and organisations making best use of improved facilities.
I’ve seen our town from many perspectives, and would welcome the opportunity to contribute to shaping its future.
