This 18th century former doctor’s surgery for sale has planning permission to become new apartments.

The property, on The Street in Radstock, was once used as Radstock Hope House Surgery and dates back to approximately 1700.

With plenty of period features, such as a slate roof, a gabled stair turret and and limestone rubble walls, the property is Grade II listed.

It has been granted planning permission to be converted into eight Victorian apartments, which would be centrally located for Radstock town.

The apartments would be a range of one and two bedroom flats, plus one two-storey dwelling.

There is also a private car park to the rear of the building providing allocated parking for each home, as well as a bike store.

The property has been brought to market by Sam Chivers Estate Agents, who have listed the building at a guide price of £450,000.

The agent commented: “In recent years the town centre has benefitted from regeneration and is an attractive option for both owner occupation and investment buyers.

“Being just nine miles from Bath city centre and 17 miles from Bristol city centre, Radstock is very much a viable option for commuters to both cities and therefore the local housing market is well supported by this geographical factor.

“This attractive scheme offers an extremely rare opportunity in today’s housing market.”
