On Monday 24th June, Norton Hill School hosted a youth hustings event with local constituency candidates.

Six of the seven parliamentary candidates for Frome and East Somerset attended the event, they were; Robin Moss (Labour), Anna Sabine (Liberal Democrats), Lucy Trimnell (Conservative), Martin Dimery (Green Party), Shaun Hughes (Independent) and Gavin Heathcote (Independent).

Students asked questions on local, regional, national and international issues, ranging from education and the NHS to economics and international relations. 

Representative groups of students attended from Westfield Primary, Norton Hill, Writhlington and Somervale secondary schools, and the MNSP Sixth Form.
