The quiz regulars at The Old Down Inn, Emborough, have raised the magnificent sum of £390 for the Memory Café at St John’s Church in Chilcompton from their quizzes in April, May and June.

The café is especially suited to anyone experiencing memory difficulties to come along with an accompanying family member, career or friend, to share an afternoon of fellowship, activities and refreshments. The money raised will be put to good use with the purchase of some activity packs and plans to book some entertainers and guest speakers.

The café runs from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at St John’s Church Hall in Chilcompton. The quizzes at The Old Down Inn support local charities and good causes and are at 7.30 p.m. on the last Thursday of the month at The Old Down Inn, Emborough.
