GREEN Open Homes B&NES is a partnership initiative led by Bath & West Community Energy (BWCE) and its partners, focussing on inspiring and educating individuals about sustainable living in Bath & North East Somerset.

Following the success of previous events, the initiative will be making its way to the local area. Radstock Green Open Homes will explore energy saving measures and teach about sustainable living on Saturday 19th October at the Trinity Hub, Radstock. As energy prices rise and the need to reduce carbon emissions becomes more urgent, this event aims to help homeowners and renters to make their homes more energy efficient and affordable to run.

The Trinity Hub will welcome visitors and provide information on energy efficiency, with ‘ask the experts’ talks and advice sessions. Information will be provided on how to lower energy bills and make homes warmer in the winter. There will also be workshops on how to draught-proof as well as a slow cooking demonstration. Food and refreshments will be available, and there will be a play area for children.

Organisers say: “We want to make this a community event where everyone can increase their understanding of energy efficiency and appreciate the small changes that make a big difference.”
