Paul Thorner, a Light Infantry Veteran from Paulton, will be putting on his boots and taking part in next years Shropshire Challenge.

Over one hundred and twenty veterans, comrades and volunteers will be marching the Shropshire Hills and the Mynd, to raise funds for Care for Casualties - The Rifles Regiment.

Care for Casualties was set up in 2009 to help Troops and Veterans injured in conflict and those suffering from PTSD.

The march will end, at Quary Park in Shrewsbury, at the Ballygawley Bus Bomb Memorial where the Light Infantry Regiment lost Eight young Soldier’s and a further twenty eight were injured, when the bus they were travelling in was blown up by a Bomb in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Next year will mark the 35th Anniversary of this tragic day!

Paulton Rovers will be holding an afternoon tea event On Tuesday, 8th November from 1pm - 4pm to raise funds for Care for Casualties - The Rifles.
