The month of November at Midsomer Norton Methodist Church begins with All Saints’ Day on 1st.
When growing up many of us have been aware of kind people who have taken an interest in us – how grateful we are to them for their encouragement! Why not thank God for them on Sunday 5th.
Then to a more solemn occasion: on Remembrance Sunday 12th Rev Christine Coram will lead the morning service which commences at 10am, after which we gather with other local people at the Cenotaph in Midsomer Norton High Street at 11 am to remember those in two World Wars and many other conflicts past and present. We can feel helpless where we live but at least we can pray to God about them and do what we can to support the work of relief agencies.
In addition, on 12th November at 6 pm, Rev Christine Coram will lead a reflective service remembering all from our Church and in the local community who have died in recent times.
Do come along if you can and support the families involved.
The monthly evening service is on 19th November at 6 pm.
Thought for the month: ‘Every human being is made in the image of God and is worthy of equal value and dignity.’
