An evening of 50s, 60s and 70s music has been organised at Timsbury Royal British Legion Club.

The event, which will run from 8pm until midnight on Saturday, June 15, will raise funds to support the efforts of the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.

There will be an admission charge of £2.50 for members and £3 for non members. A raffle will also be held.

Colin Coombes is organising the event and said: “Many grateful thanks to everyone who has supported these evenings over the past years with donations and raffle prizes.

“We are constantly reminded in the news of the work that the air ambulance does in helping casualties in life-threatening situations. Many lives have been saved, and injuries treated more quickly because of the service provided by these dedicated people.

“This year has been no exception, they have been called out many times locally, and I am sure there are many people who will be forever grateful that they were there in their time of great need.”

Colin also explained that the Air Ambulance rely on donations from the public - they are not government-funded.

Colin said: “Come and support this evening and enjoy the music, buy some raffle tickets, or make a donation.”
