Bath and North East Somerset Council have issued temporary road closure notices in the Somer Valley to coincide with Remembrance Day Parades, scheduled for Remembrance Sunday on the 12th November.
Bath and North East Somerset Council, in exercise of its powers under section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, has notified motorists - via their website - that temporary closures will take place in the morning and early afternoon.
Currently, there are proposed closures in place at the following locations:
Midsomer Norton: roads will close temporarily to vehicles High Street and North Road, Midsomer Norton. The closure will be a rolling closure and are scheduled to be between the times of 10:40am to 1pm.
Paulton: roads close temporarily to vehicles on the High Street (northern section) from its junction with The Pithay in a north easterly direction for approximately 30 metres, High Street (southern section) from its junction with The Pithay in a south easterly direction to its junction with Ham Lane, Park Road from its junction with High Street (southern section) to its junction with Ashmans Gate, The Pithay for its full length extending to its junction with High Street/Ashleigh Close. This closure will be operative between approximately 2pm and 3:30pm.
Peasedown St. John: Bath Road, extending from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Belle Vue Close, and that length of Church Road which extends from its junction with Bath Road for a distance of approximately 275 metres in a north westerly direction to the Church, will be closed temporarily. The closures will each be for approximately 20 minutes and are scheduled to start at 10am - 10:30am and 12pm - 12:30pm.
