Drivers in and around North Somerset will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for resurfacing.

M5, from 10pm September 19 to 6am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20 - lane closure for horticulture works.

M5, from 10pm September 20 to 6am September 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for horticulture works.

M5, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 exit and entry slip roads, lane closure for for electrical works, .

M5, from 8pm September 23 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18, lane closure for for electrical works, .

M5, from 9pm September 23 to 6am September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19, lane closure for for electrical works, .

M5, from 7pm September 24 to 6am September 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 exit slip road closure of Somerset Council works. Diversion via northbound to junction 21, to turn and return southbound.

M5, from 8pm September 24 to 6am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 exit slip road, lane closure for for electrical works, .

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
