Drivers in and around North Somerset will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that nine closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 9pm March 10 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 exit slip road lane closure for barrier repairs.
• M5, from 9pm March 11 to 6am March 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 20, lane closure for general maintenance.
• M5, from 8pm March 12 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18, lane closures for for electrical works.
• M5, from 9pm March 12 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to junction 20, lane closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm March 12 to 6am March 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19, lane closure for general maintenance.
• M5, from 10pm March 14 to 6am March 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry slip carriageway closure for general maintenance, diversion via M5, junction 20 and return.
• M5, from 9pm March 17 to 6am March 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 entry slip closure, for improvement/Upgrade scheme, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 22 and return northbound.
• M5, from 8pm March 20 to 6am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 exit and entry slip roads closed including lane closures on main carriageway for survey works, diversion for exit slip road via M5 northbound, exit, junction 19 to return southbound to junction 20, diversion for entry slip road via M5 southbound, exit, junction 21 to return northbound.
• M5, from 8pm March 24 to 6am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21, lane closure for signs maintenance.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
