Drivers in and around North Somerset will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 8pm June 24 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closure for survey.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 9pm June 27 to 6am June 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm June 29 to 6am June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 18a to junction 20 Lane closure for barrier repair.

M5, from 9pm June 29 to 6am July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm July 4 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 22 to 21 - carriageway closure for surveys. Diversion via A38 and A370.

M5, from 9pm July 5 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 entry Slip closure for barrier Repairs, diversion southbound to junction 21 and return.

M5, from 9pm July 6 to 6am July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm July 6 to 6am July 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm July 6 to 6am July 8, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to 22 - carriageway closure for surveys. Diversion via A370 and A38.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
