Drivers in and around Bath and North East Somerset will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A4, from 9am August 22 to 4pm August 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, London Road Rbt to Box Rbt lane closure for horticulture.

A36, from 8am July 27 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

A36, from 8am August 12 2024 to 6am March 1 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Warminster Road, Limpley Stoke at Scotland Rocks, carriageway closure between Waterhouse Lane and private road for carriageway renewal, diversion Cars S/B A36, A4 E/B, A350 S/B, A361 rejoin A36, N/B diversion by following the above in reverse, diversion HGV S/B - A36 W/B, A4, A4174, M32 N/B, M4 E/B, junction 17, A350 S/B, A361 rejoin A36, N/B diversion by following above in reverse.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A46, from 8am to 4pm on August 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions Cold Ashton Rbt to London Road Rbt verge works for horticulture.

A46, from 8pm August 29 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Both Directions M4, junction 18 to Cold Ashton multi-way signals for horticulture.

A36, from 6am August 31 to 6am September 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Both Directions Bathampton to Beckington 24/7 multi way signals for drainage.

A4, from 9am September 2 to 4pm September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 westbound, Box Rbt to London Road Rbt lane closure for horticulture.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
