Drivers in and around North Somerset will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start over the next two weeks:
• M5, from 10pm September 3 to 6am September 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 exit slip road - carriageway closure for horticultural works, diversion via M5, exit and turn at, junction 21 to return to junction 20.
• M5, from 10pm September 6 to 6am September 7, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 entry Slip closure for drainage, diversion M5 southbound to junction 20 and return.
• M5, from 9pm September 9 to 6am September 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip including roundabout and A369, lane closure for electrical works.
• M5, from 10pm September 10 to 6am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 exit slip closure for drainage works, diversion southbound to junction 20 and return.
• M5, from 10pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closure for drainage works.
• M5, from 9pm September 16 to 6am September 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to junction 19 - lane closure for resurfacing.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
