Today, The Journal visited Broadway House on the Radstock Industrial Estate to speak to the Rotary Club about their appeal to get water aid and supplies over to Turkey and Syria following the devastating earthquakes that happened less than two weeks ago on the 6th February.
Today, volunteers from both the Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs joined together to pack boxes to send off to the affected countries. Two hundred boxes were sent from their depot in Radstock and arrived at Heathrow yesterday. These will be flown out today (16th February). These two hundred boxes will aid at least one thousand survivors to rebuild their lives following the devastation.
To help the Rotary club reach their initial target of one thousand boxes, you can donate here or find out more information via their website. One box is able to provide aid to a family of five, as well as providing vital tools to clean contaminated water.
