The Cam Valley Rotary Club has, for many years, supported local charities, including scout groups, by providing financial help when and where it is most needed.
The photo shows the Group’s Chairman, (centre) receiving a cheque for £500 from the Club’s Chairman, Kevin Seery (right) and Rotarian, Malcolm Brooks. The cash will be used to pay for urgent repairs to the High Littleton Scout Hall’s heating system.
The Scout Group will continue with its fundraising efforts to cover the costs of loan repayments, utilities and maintenance.
Its next major project will be a sponsored May Day Bike Ride over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. All our sections will take part with the Beavers and Cubs having a one-day local cycle ride of suitable distance for their age group.
The Scouts will attempt to complete the Devon Coast-to-Coast cycle path, a distance of 100 miles. A crowd funding site will be set up, so everyone can support and encourage the members to complete the task. Please support us if you can.
