PARADES and church services will take place across Bath and North East Somerset on Remembrance Sunday on November 10 and on Remembrance Day on November 11.

The events are an opportunity for people to remember the service and sacrifice of others and to pay their respects.

Councillor Karen Walker, Chair of Bath and North East Somerset Council, said: “Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday are a chance to reflect on the lives lost in the First World War and in every war since then.

“It is a time for us all to remember those who served and kept us safe so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. They are also an important opportunity for the community to come together in unity and I hope many people will join an event near them.”
