Grants are available to businesses and charities in North East Somerset who want to install solar panels from the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

The scheme offers those eligible a one-off grant of up to £50,000 towards the cost of installing solar panels on their warehouse, factory and office roofs.

West of England Mayor Dan Norris plans to help firms cut their greenhouse gas emissions while easing the cost of energy.

He said: “WECA has a relentless focus on helping local firms and charities to save carbon and cut bills.”
