This year’s series of free Wednesday lunchtime concerts at St John’s Midsomer Norton begins on June 12 with the Mendip Ensemble (Carole Jenner Timms - flute, Simon Naylor - oboe, and Jacquelyn Bevan - piano) playing music from the Baroque to present day.

On June 19 violin virtuoso Matthew Taylor will perform an all-French programme including Saint-Saëns’ stunning Havanaise. Other concerts include an organ recital by David Bednall and St John’s Primary School on July 3.

Concerts start at 1pm and last around 45 minutes. Entrance is by donation with a retiring collection and refreshments on sale from 12.30pm.
