Motorists and pedestrians watched late on Tuesday afternoon as Midsomer Norton South Station, which has lovingly been restored over the years, welcomed the Jinty 47406 to the town, having been hired from the Great Central Railway at Loughborough to haul passenger trains, both this weekend and next weekend, as part of a commemorative event at the station to mark the line closure fifty years ago. The Jinty will be running from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. on both weekends, 27th-28th February and 5th-6th March.
