Have you wondered where the ringing of handbells began or why? Would you like to “have a go” at ringing handbells? Then why not come along to Radstock Museum’s Bygone Days Living History talk this March and meet the Tabor Ringers.
Their presentation will cover the tradition, beliefs, legends and varied uses of bells, handbells and chimes. The history is unusual and surprising, and throughout the talk the Tabor Ringers will give demonstrations and play tunes after which, you can “have a go” at playing if you would like to.
The presentation will take place at the Somer Centre, Midsomer Norton, on Tuesday 5th March, 7:30pm.
