Commenting on the resignation of Boris Johnson as an MP after he received the Partygate report, West of England Metro Mayor Dan Norris said: “This has always been about integrity. It was only a matter of time before Mr Johnson’s wrongdoings caught up with him. “The disgraced former PM’s boozy lockdown bashes while families were unable to mourn their loved ones will never be forgotten. He broke the law. He diminished Britain’s influence and credibility. He lied. His behaviour was a stain on our great country’s reputation. "Even as he exits, he continues to show no contrition. The similarities with Donald Trump are stark."
