The Toolstation Western League have renewed their commitment to equality and inclusion in football, by signing up for another year to the Kick It Out Equality Charter. Kick It Out works within the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and work for positive change.
In return for Toolstation Western League’s commitment, Kick It Out have pledged to support their 40 member clubs with advice from their expert teams.
As Clubs prepare for the start of the 2023/24 season, the League have contacted all Clubs to encourage them to sign up to the Equality Charter, showing their commitment to taking active steps to tackle discrimination.
John Pool, the Chairman of the Toolstation Western League, said: “If you’ve seen discrimination in football, online or at game, don’t turn away. Report it to Kick It Out so they can get the right people involved and support everyone affected. We have an inclusion page on our website where anyone can go to report an incident to Kick It Out, allowing their specialist team to follow it up with the FA and make sure we all do what we can to drive discrimination out of our beautiful game”.
