With traffic accidents remaining a leading cause of injuries and fatalities, the two new Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs) on the A367 through Westfield have been universally welcomed.

SIDs offer a significant step forward in promoting safer driving, alerting drivers to reduce their speed if they are exceeding the limit. By providing real-time feedback, SIDs effectively raise awareness and encourage adherence to speed limits.

Chair of the Parish Council, Cllr Phil Wilkinson said “Our thanks to the Police and Crime Commissioner for funding these devices, we hope they’ll have an impact on driving habits through Westfield”.
