Last week’s Mystery Photograph proved popular. Thank you to everyone who took the time to guess Kilmersdon!

Here is what Lucy Tudor had to say about it: “The photographer is standing with their back to the main road through the village, looking down the lane by the Church. To the right of the photograph, and just out of sight of the Church and further to the right again is the Joliffe Arms pub.”

Well done to the following for guessing Kilmersdon correctly: Jane Kerton, Simon Chard, Catherine Josham, Paul Hancock, Caryl Doel, Vince Gill, Sue E, Eric Brain, Jonathan Griffin, Tim Willcox, Alan and Norma Norris, Les Box and Hannah Selway, Dave Curtis, David Swift, Mellinda Hicks, Eddie Maundrill, Graham Brown, Valerie Rogers, Jeff Parsons, Christine Oatley, Colin Button.

Thank you to Richard Edwards who said: “My guess is that this week’s Mystery Photograph is Kilmersdon, looking from the B3139, Kilmersdon Hill, into Church Street, with the wall on the right being part of the boundary of the cemetery of St Peter and St Paul’s Church, a very small part of which is just visible on the extreme right. Possibly taken around the turn of the 20th century?”

Thank you to Radstock Museum for supplying these photographs and keeping this feature going.
