Last week’s Mystery Photograph, kindly supplied by Jeff Parsons, was taken of St Luke’s Church in Priston.

Well done to the following for guessing correctly; Gemma Gould, Richard Edwards, Eric Brain, David Young, Paul Hancock, Katie Thayer.

Many thanks to Valerie Rogers, who told The Journal: “The Mystery Photograph this week is Priston Church, the cockerel weather vane was given to the Church by William Vaughan in 1813 and is 6ft long and 5ft high.”

Thank you to Jeff Parsons, who supplied the photograph, for the following information: “This is St Luke’s Church, Priston. Interesting central tower built around 1750 with a gigantic weather vane atop. According to Pevsner Buildings of England (North Somerset and Bristol 1958) the large South Door is medieval with big foliated iron hinges.”

Perhaps a bit of a tricky one this week, kindly sent in by Shirley Steel, can you guess where this week’s Mystery Photograph is?
