Last week’s Mystery Photograph proved to be a lot easier than our previous weeks’, with lots of you guessing the answer correctly.
Thank you to Radstock Museum for supplying us with last week’s picture. It was in fact taken in Temple Cloud!
Well done to the following readers for guessing correctly: Simon Chard, Delphine Watts, Mike Ford, Annette Price, Hilary Brown, Eric Brain, Paul Hancock, Colin Button, Valerie Rogers, Dave Curtis, Les Box, Hannah Selway, Vince Gill, Mrs P Flower, Norma Attwood, Pete Callow, Peter Box, Sally Bown, Shirley Steel Roy Barnes and Val Rogers.
Well done to Michael Flower, who told us, “This is of Temple Cloud, taken at The Green, looking south along the main road to Shepton Mallet, now the A37. The photo dates from the early 1920’s I think, as in the middle of that decade the windows of the main building shown, Stanley House, were changed to bay windows.”
“On the right hand side, the single storey building - once a coach house or garage - is now the entrance to Cameley Surgery.”
Can you figure out where we are in the local area this time? Our photograph has again been supplied by Radstock Museum.
