Last week featured the old Museum, also known as Tyning Farm in Haydon. Thank you to Somerset Coalfield Life for providing another brilliant photograph and description: Tyning Farm, Haydon. Later known as Barton Mead and the former home of the Museum.
Well done to the following for guessing Tyning Farm correctly; Martin Horler, Peggy Rowe, David Swift, Colin Button.
Many thanks to Peggy Rowe, who said: “Your Mystery Photograph this week is of my old home, now Barton Mead House, was Tyning Farm when the photo was taken around 1900. It was a tenant farm and the family were called Candy, they had six little daughters whose bedroom was in the attic which was divided into three partitions. You could see the dividing lines were there when we lived there. A lovely, friendly old house, I miss it!
“The barn was the first home of the museum!
I look forward to getting The Journal every week online!”
Can you guess where we are in this week’s Mystery Photograph?
