An act of antisocial behaviour was committed at a playground in Widcombe on the afternoon of Saturday January 25. Play equipment was set alight in the grounds between Widcombe’s Primary Schools.

Following the incident, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “At just before 4pm on Saturday 25 February, we were called by Avon Fire and Rescue Service relating to a fire at a play park in Archway Street, Bath.

“The incident is under investigation and we would ask anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of the park to contact us on 101, giving the call handler the reference number 5223048991.”
