The whole school explored the theme of ‘Building a Better World’ through art, dance, drama, outdoor learning and mindfulness.

School Headteacher, Ruth Noall, said:

“Thank you to all our pupils and staff who took part in National Arts Week so enthusiastically.

“Our Key Stage 2 children enjoyed an art morning with local artist Richard Twose, with some looking at portraits and the effect wax has on ink and water colours.

“Others in the school helped create a short dance video which will be showed to parents during a special Arts Trail exhibition.”

The week has allowed pupils to explore ideas and test out their creative skills, with all the completed work being presented to parents as part of a ‘Open Afternoon’.

Ruth added: “We’re really proud of the variedness of the curriculum we follow here at St Julian’s, each and every week we’re exploring something new – allowing the children experience new things and learn different skills.”
