Welton Church Runners celebrated their 25th free timed 5k run in Midsomer Norton Park on September 7.

At this event, two runners, Hannah Coates and George Fryer, competed their 20th run and celebrated with a picture in a ‘selfie frame’.

The run takes place in the Midsomer Norton Town park every first Saturday of the month at 9am.

The event is open to people of all abilities and a free café will ope after the event.

The course is a challenging one and runners often comment on how interesting it is as well as the beauty of the park.

Volunteers working with Somer Valley Rediscovered and TCV have completed a number of improvements to the paths runners use, which they are grateful for.

A section that was previously very muddy is now much easier to run on.
