Those who remember the Somerset and Dorset Railway can relive their memories of the line by visiting the model of Bath Green Park at Bishop Lydiard station, built by the Taunton Model Railway Group.

Those who are too young to have seen the Somerset and Dorset Railway in its hayday will realise the magnitude of the line impact in Bath.

The 4mm scale model shows the line from the buffers of Green Park station to where the line starts the climb to Combe Down Tunnel, and is complete in every detail.

The model room is normally open on West Somerset Railway gala days and more selective other days. For details, contact the Taunton Model Railway Group or West Somerset Railway.

When tired of the model and return to the real world of the station, there is a chance of seeing a real Somerset and Dorset Railway engine, 53808 (S&D No 8) arriving from or departing to Minehead.
