Westhill Club was host to an evening dedicated to supporting the local community and celebrating the beauty of Westfield on Thursday, December 5.
The Grant Award Presentation, held alongside the prestigious Westfield In Bloom Awards, brought together local organisations and members of the Parish Council to honour the vital contributions made to the area.
The event was an opportunity to recognise the organisations and groups that have been instrumental in enhancing the quality of life in Westfield.
Grants were awarded to various local organisations that support key community initiatives, from youth programs such as the local football club, Scouts and Girls Brigade, to arts, culture, and environmental projects.
The funds will directly support these vital activities that continue to make a difference in the lives of Westfield residents.
The evening began with the Westfield In Bloom Awards, which honoured the outstanding efforts of individuals and groups who have contributed to the enhancement of Westfield.
The Westfield In Bloom initiative celebrates the transformative power of nature, with gardens, floral displays, and green spaces that bring pride and joy to the area.

Local gardening enthusiasts, volunteers, and schools were celebrated for their dedication to sustainability and community spirit.
Following the In Bloom awards, the event shifted focus to the presentation of grants to 13 local organisations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to serving the Westfield community.
The recipients include Westfield Allotment and Gardening Society, Westfield Football Club, Swallow and SWAN Transport amongst others, each of which received financial support to continue their incredible work in areas such as sports, mental health, public spaces, and community outreach.

"These grants are a small but significant way for us to say thank you and to invest in the future of our community."
The event was attended by a diverse group of community members all coming together to celebrate the achievements of those who give their energy to improve Westfield.
