ON A perfect day for golf there was a great turn out for Wells Golf Club’s Seniors' 2-Ball Texas Scramble.

Ian Burr and Nick Poore got off to a cracking start with birdies on the first two holes and 4 birdies on the front nine.  They could only manage one birdie on the back nine, leaving a nett score of 61.

However, they were pipped at the post by Alan Smith and Jerry Musselwhite, also with a nett 61, winning on countback. Third were Dave Hayward and Geoff Cabral, nett 62 and fourth Graham Bingham & Glyn Hallett, nett 63.
