Having progressed to the final stages of two County and local bowls competitions, further progress came to a dramatic halt.

In the Somerset County Turnbull Cup Quarter-Final, the team lost away to Bath, in a close game, by six shots. Then, the following evening, they played in the Semi-Final of the Mid-Somerset League, but lost at home to Weston Bath.

Meanwhile, in the County League, there were mixed fortunes for the three teams. The A team lost away to top of the league Taunton, but the B team had a fine 10–2 win at home against Keynsham B, and the C team also had a fine 10–2 win against Stothert & Pitt B, away.

It has been a tough year for the A team, but hopefully they have enough points to assure they remain in Premier League One next season. The B and C teams, however, have enjoyed more success and should finish mid-table in their respective leagues.

Meanwhile, the Ladies had a quiet week, with only one game, when they beat Weston Bath Ladies away.
