PAULTON Bowls Club played at home in the County League against Stothert and Pitt and produced another sterling performance to gain eight further points. Let’s hope we can keep this momentum going forward. On Tuesday, in the Ladies League at home against Purnells, the women won on two of the three rinks and were extremely close on the final rink which was a good achievement. Sunday saw the club fixed jack competition with some very close good natured matches all day. The finalists, M. Griffiths and A. Meaton, will meet in the club’s finals on the August bank holiday weekend. A.J.Meaton
