It has been a busy start to the season for Paulton.

The club made a good start with their first male friendly against Bloomfield on Wednesday, 3rd May, despite being a player down, winning on two rinks and drawing on a third.

However on Tuesday, 2nd May the ladies in a friendly, away at Keynsham, lost on all three rinks better luck next time ladies.

The 5th May saw the Friday Club Night Mike Rees competition start again with an excellent turnout and participation, lets hope this continues into the future and marks the upturn of our fortunes.

Sunday 7th, after the excitement of the Coronation and in perfect bowls weather, saw us in a five rink mixed Friendly, at Banwell Bowls Club again, after a hiatus due to recent circumstances, where we were able to win with the aid of two of the opposition. We thank Banwell for their superb welcome and wonderful hospitality and look forward to many future games with them.

The Ladies played a league match this week on Tuesday at home against Prattens but unfortunately lost again but its early days.
