In a Wild League game at home to local rivals, Purnell Sports Club, Prattens’ Ladies gained all twelve League points by winning on all three rinks and overall by 73 shots to thirty.
Prattens’ Men were away to Frome Selwood in the Turnbull Cup. Prattens won on one rink, drew on one rink and lost on one rink and won overall by 78 shots to 63. In the next round, on Tuesday, 24th July, Prattens’ Men will be home to Purnell. In the Mid-Somerset League, at home to Purnell, Prattens won on one rink, lost on two, and lost overall, which gained them two League points.
The mixed-friendly game at home to Winsley was cancelled by Winsley, but the Prattens players arranged a fun afternoon of bowls. The ‘away day’ to Dawlish was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. A warm welcome awaited us; the game was played in glorious sunshine and there was a lovely meal on the way home. A vote of thanks was given to all those involved in the organisation of the trip.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have a Wild League game at home to Norwest and a Fear Cup game at home to Bloomfield (Bath). Prattens’ Men have a Mid-Somerset League game away to Paulton and a Somerset County League game away to Purnell B.
