The weather played a part in games again this week, with Prattens’ Ladies playing a shortened game at home to Bloomfield where they won overall, 36 shots to 22.
Prattens’ Men were away to local rivals, Norwest, in the Mid-Somerset League; Prattens won on two rinks but lost overall and so gained four League points. In their Somerset League game away to Keynsham A, Prattens’ Men won on one rink but again lost overall, gaining only two League points.
The Mixed Mid-Somerset League game at home to local rivals, Fosseway, provided Prattens with a good win. Having won on all four rinks and overall, Prattens gained all twelve League points. The friendly at home to Mark Moor was drawn, two rinks each, but Prattens won overall on shot difference.
Prattens played a County Senior Fours game away to Portishead which Prattens won 24 shots to sixteen, but unfortunately the team lost to Bath Bowling Club in the next round.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have a Wild League game away to local rivals, Norwest; the Ladies’ Wild League game at home to Wells has been cancelled by Wells and rearranged to 13th September.
Prattens’ Men are away to local rivals, Fosseway, in the Mid-Somerset League and home to Fosseway in the Somerset County League. There is also a Mixed Mid Somerset League game, away to Wyrall Park (Glastonbury).
