With no results in any of last Saturday’s fixtures because of the rain, members of Midsomer Norton Cricket Club are hoping for better weather this weekend.

Midsomer Norton Cricket Club made a promising start at Bath CC, reaching 168–3 from 29 overs. On Saturday, the Second XI visit Cleeve and the Thirds go to Whitchurch.

Before last Saturday’s rain, the club’s first Active-8 session for women cricketers took place at the club on Thursday evening. These sessions run for the next seven Thursday evenings and international cricketer and ECB coach, Jan Godman (left in the picture), is in charge of these sessions. Active-8 Cricket is a fun and social eight-week programme of cricket activity for women that culminates in two 8-a-side soft ball festivals.
