MIDSOMER Norton kept up the pressure at the top of the Bristol/Somerset Division of the West of England Premier Cricket League with a 32-run home victory over Weston super Mare.
The home side, who elected to bat first, scored 191 all out in 47.2 overs with Callum Harvey top scoring with 33 before being run out.
Paul Robbins scored 25, Jake Roberts 23, Finn Kelsey 27, Morgan Skipp 21 and John Carroll 15.
Paul van Meekeren took 3-33, while Shabel Ahmed finished with figures of 2-29.
Weston lost their way despite scoring 100 rruns for the loss of only one wicket. Westson opener Shabel Ahmed top scored with 59, while van Meekeren was the next highest scorer with 17.
Robbins enjoyed a successful match by taking 5-42 in eight overs, while Nick Pang finished with figures of 2-29 in 8.3 overs.
Midsomer Norton are only five points behind leaders Downend who won their seventh game of the season when they beat Congresbury by one wicket in a high-scoring match.
Congresbury scored 314 in their 50 overs while Downend off the runs with 13 balls to spare. At the other end of the table, Taunton Deane are still with a victory this season, having lost all eight of their matches.
In their latest game they played at home against Clevedon - and lost by 80 runs. Clevedon, batting first, made 274-8 while the Deane were bowled out for 194 in 44.4 overs.
