In a shock deal the PGA Tour and DP World Tour have agreed a merger with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). An investment which has effectively bought up the entire sport of golf.
Is it good for the game? Time will tell. We can only wait and see if and when investment comes through to the grass roots level of the sport.
Farrington Park’s new owners, 360 Golf are not quite on the level of the Saudi’s PIF! However there have been some notable changes and improvements at the Park in the short time they have been in charge.
A beautifully sunny morning but with the East wind still gently blowing, we played a Stableford competition from the green tees. A stand out highlight was the remarkable Mike Bradbury with four score years and more on this planet who achieved his eighth career hole in one! This time on the notoriously difficult 15th hole. Well done Mr B.
