ONLY two matches were played in the Premier Division of the Jewson Western Football League at the weekend because of the appalling bad weather.

Bridgwater United went down 4-0 at home against Buckland Athletic while Portishead and Barnstaple Town fought out a goalless draw.

It means Brixham AFC, who were without a match, still have a five-point lead at the top of the table.

There were three matches in the first division. Bristol Telephone were 4-2 winners at home to Warminster Town, AEK Boco got the better of Calne Town winning 2-1 away while Devizes Town beat Cheddar 6-0 at home.
