PENSFORD have won the Mid Somerset Football League’s Willmott Cup for the 2023-34.

They turned on the style to beat Evercreech Rovers Reserves 6-2 in the final which was played at Peasdown Cricket Club’s ground earlier this month. 

Pensford started the game very strongly and took a three goal lead by halftime - and appeared to be heading for a comfortable victory.

But Evercreech Reserves came back into the game in the second half, scoring twice and also had a ‘goa'l disallowed for offside.

However Pensford aways looked the stronger team and eventually ran out winners by a comfortable margin to deservedly lift the trophy.
