Purnell Sport U13 girls entertained Wellington on a frosty morning last weekend. It was a very entertaining game, with both teams playing some great football.
Wellington went in 2–0 ahead at half-time, despite some great defensive work from Lauryn, Abi, Keira and Ruby, and some good goalkeeping from Hannah.
Purnell were unfortunate to be behind, as Maddy hit the woodwork twice, and it could have been a very different scoreline. The final score was 3–0.
The Player of the Match was Mia for great play on the left wing. The girls also celebrated Lauryn’s birthday afterwards with cake!
