MID-SOMERSET Football League team Wells City A have won the Somerset FA Junior Cup after beating Weston Town from the Weston Super Mare League 3 - 1 in a hard fought game played at Middlezoy Rovers Football Club,

Both teams in the final were big winners in the previous round. Wells hammered Galmington 5-1 at home, while Weston Town were equally impressive in their 6-0 demolition of Haydon Sports.

In the quarter-finals Wells were 4-1 winners over Frome Collegians Reserves while Weston won 2-1 away to Redgate.

Wells are also having a good season in the premier division of the Mid-Somerset League.
