THE  sun shone for the first Society away day for the Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club and members had a great day out at the Isle of Wedmore.

The course was in an excellent state and it was Seniors’ secretary Alan Jones who took full advantage of the conditions, winning the event with an impressive Stableford score of 39 points. In second place came Paul Ellis with 37 points and Phil Winsley claimed third place on countback with 35 points. Kev Gill won both the prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin. Many thanks go to Paul Trigg for all the hard work he put in organising the event on the day.

Back on home territory at Fosseway Pat Cray took first place in the Captain’s Trophy with 37 Stableford points followed by Alan White and Graham Edgell who both recorded 35 points. White finished second on countback.
