The Seniors section of Fosseway Golf Club gained revenge for their recent 4.5-1.5 defeat away to Kingweston, winning the return fixture by an identical margin.
Graham Edgell and John Bendle led the way with a four and three success, Martyn Cuer and Cyril Blacker won four and two, Noel Chatfield, in his first game for the social team, joined up with Mike Ricketts to triumph two and one with Richard Dancey and Paul Ellis finishing one up. Captain Frank Dance and Chris Appleton halved their match and the one pair to just miss out were Phil Winsley and Paul Trigg who ended one down in a close encounter.
There was a very close finish to the Seniors’ June medal with three players all ending with nett scores of 61.
After countback Malcolm Tucker was declared the winner with Rex Wyatt in second place and secretary Alan Jones third.
In the Rod Bruce Scratch competition that ran alongside the medal Alan White came out on top with a gross 80 beating the defending champion Graham Edgell by just one shot.
